The Community Change Center: WeAreOne, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Northwest Indiana, currently operating in Lake, LaPorte, and Porter counties.
The Community Change Center works with incarcerated individuals during incarceration and as they transition back into their communities, providing tangible resources and connections, as well as a sense of support and empowerment. By providing support and resources to some of the most vulnerable members of society, we simultaneously strengthen our local communities.

Mission
Breaking the cycle of crime by implementing a restorative justice framework in order to deter individuals from crime, mentor incarcerated individuals as they plan for the future, and provide formerly-incarcerated individuals with the support and resources necessary to reintegrate successfully back into their communities.
Vision
Strengthening communities by meeting needs, advocating for equality, and highlighting the common humanity among all people.
Impact
The Community Change Center provides reentry services to hundreds of incarcerated and formerly-incarcerated individuals in Northwest Indiana each year. We equip individuals with life skills and resources prior to their release from incarceration, and are continuously expanding our community-based reentry services to be able to better support individuals as they return to the community so that they can re-establish themselves as productive members of society.
