SAMHSA'S Trauma-Informed Justice Response

SAMHSA'S Trauma-Informed Justice Response

Designed specifically for those working within the justice system, this 2-hour training offers education surrounding the trauma experienced by those who are or who have been incarcerated and how those working within the system can increase safety and well-being by implementing a trauma-informed approach in the workplace. The training also covers vicarious trauma experienced by those working in the system and how to protect against it.

SAMHSA'S Trauma-Informed Justice Response

Designed for any group who would like to learn more about the barriers associated with successful reentry post-incarceration, this 2-hour simulation helps build empathy and understanding in an interactive and reflective format. Participants will be tasked with completing the simulation to see whether they can successfully meet their basic needs and comply with the justice system requirements while facing many of the common barriers and challenges experienced by the justice-impacted population.
